DESCRIPTION:Neighbourhood Watch Scotland will be joining partners from Police Scotland Edinburgh Prevention\, Intervention and Partnerships Team at the Knife Angel event at the Kirkgate\, Leith. \nWe would love you to come along\, have a chat\, and find out more about community safety and how we can all play a part in creating safer communities. \n📅 Tuesday 29 September\n🕛 12:00 noon to 4:00pm \n📍 Kirkgate\, Leith \nOur team will be on hand to discuss: \n\nPersonal and community safety\nHow to become involved in your local community\nCrime prevention and reporting concerns\nNeighbourhood Watch Scotland initiatives and resources\nSupport available from local partners\nWorking together to help make communities safer and stronger\n\nThe Knife Angel\, also known as the National Monument Against Violence and Aggression\, is a striking 27-foot sculpture created from more than 100\,000 knives and blades surrendered or seized across the UK. Created by artist Alfie Bradley and the British Ironwork Centre\, it serves as a powerful memorial to those affected by violence and a reminder of the importance of choosing positive alternatives to carrying weapons. \nThe sculpture is visiting Edinburgh as part of its national anti-violence tour and will be located at Kirkgate\, at the foot of Leith Walk\, helping to encourage conversations about the impact of violence\, support for victims and families\, and ways communities can work together to prevent harm. \n Come along\, see this remarkable monument\, meet the partners involved\, and find out how we can all help build safer\, more connected communities. \n
